I just saw on Facebook that they are celebrating the anniversary of This is It, the iconic movie on my idol, Michael Jackson after his demise. Yeah, it’s been a year since the movie “This is It” was released worldwide. And, now that the Christmas is round corner, I wish to confess a sweet secret I’d never expressed to anyone before. But I guess it was pretty obvious to my close friends anyways.
My Fixation with Michael
Whenever I see Michael on TV, something comes over me. Post his departure, I did everything I could to stay the closest to him and feel his presence in my life. I changed my status on Gtalk, Facebook, Twitter and put his pictures everywhere including my cell phones and notebook. I downloaded all his pictures from the Internet and saved them on my cell phones and notebook.
I live in India and when ‘This is It’ was released I awfully wanted to grab its DVD so I could watch him over and over again. But its DVDs were not due for release in India so soon. I had to download it from Torrent site although I felt really bad to have resorted to an illegitimate method to watch the movie this way. I wouldn’t have done that if the DVD was available in my city to watch. But this was the only way I could have watched ‘This is It’ as none of the theaters in my city had released the movie, and I was waaaay too desperate to watch Michael. Although I had to download torrent file of This is It, I’d decided to delete it right after watching it and go for the original copy as soon as it was available in my city. I was almost determined to buy an original DVD as soon as it was available in India.
Then A Miracle Happened!!!
A couple of months down the line, a miracle happened with me when I decided to buy a Sony Bluray Player….Guesss what they told me I was getting a FREE Bluray Disc of This is It!!!! Whoa……Can you believe it…I saw Michael up close and personal. Prior to the “This is It”, I’d never ever seen him so close. Isn’t this a divine miracle!!! I considered Michael my secret Santa Claus who fulfilled my wish so honestly!!!!
Even if the Christmas was not round the corner, he filled my secret wishes to watch him close. Michael never upset his true fans when he was around on this earth and now that he is in Heaven, he still takes care of us. I can see Michael from the closest possible distance every time I play the “This is It”. Now, I am waiting for his latest album to hit the stores in my city and I will grab a copy and watch him again.
I Love You, Michael!!! You’re the BEST and will live in my heart forever! And, I Wish You A Merry Christmas and to all your fans on your behalf!!!
