Finally, The Smart Dude Settled Down with a Smart Phone – Nokia E63

Frankly, I didn’t plan to buy a mobile handset today itself. But, they say chemistry occurs when you expect it the least. When I went out I thought, “let’s take a look-around”. So, when I went to one of those funny shops at Bapuji Nagar, selling cell phones at an unimpressive cheaper prices, their dull demonstration skill was enough to drive me out of the shop pretty quickly. Again, my fixation with a Blackberry blinded me to see how good the other smart phones were. So, I probably didn’t pay attention to all the s*&% he said about Nokia E63. I was like, “If I have to settle with Noika, why not “Priority Dealer”?

So, I took some time and I went to the one located at Master Canteen, but their demonstration skill wasn’t good either. I vacillated between Sony Ericsson and Noika until I hit the Priority Store at Rupali Sqaure. They were good, they actually demonstrated everything with a Nokia E71 handset (not dummy) that is pretty close to E63. I was impressed with their attention (who wouldn’t?) as they understood what I was looking for.

Come close to the phone – I just opened the box, and am yet to use it full-fledged. However, it looks good on palm – a huge feel good factor. This is a very good smart phone; I would call it a mini laptop which would enable me to stay connected to my clients, blogs, email inbox efficiently and seamlessly. I spent practically the entire day to decide on this one, and I now feel it’s worth the time and research I put in.

I can be quite a skeptic at times. So, maybe I shouldn’t delve into its drawback yet. However, it looks like it’s NOT as LOUD as you would find most of the Xpress Music handsets. But who needs so much noise in life when I already have loads of it! Again the headset gear is not very impressive but thank god, it has a 3.5 inch jack which you can use to plugin any other headset. So I guess I will buy a Sony Headset later.

That’s it for now, I guess you would fine me blog & tweet more and stay online longer than I am. Well, most of my friends would probably get mad about this. They already think my Name is Sushant ONLINE Sahoo :D . I will keep you posted on the flip side later, but I guess let me take it to a honeymoon for a week and see if it has some.

I am yet to enable the GPRS, so it would take some time.

Ciao

PS: The Handset Cost me 11,400 INR with a Rebook sunglass free-gift with it.

    Hey guyz,

Been using the phone since the last post. Its been great this far. However, I have been facing problem with the push email system. No….no fault with the phone, its the service provider or my lack any knowledge in setting up the push mail system.

Well, I must spill the bean here…those who think a brand-new high-end Nokia phone cannot have any fault, think again…..I just got the battery changed as it was heating up very quickly. They said its the first instance, but I dont buy their views. They would always say good things, wouldn’t they?

I will keep you posted on the new battery’s performance. I am yet to use it extensively.

As for the Internet experience, I’d not say it’s a breeze but sure it helps a lot at times.
    It has its inconveniences too.
